African Botanics

African Botanics The Founders

The Founders

African Botanics was founded by ex-South African couple Craig and Julia Noik in 2012. Raised absorbing and discovering the beauty of South Africa’s nature, age-old traditions and inspirations of their homeland would one day lead them to the creation of African Botanics skincare collection. Growing up there and subsequently moving away to Los Angeles, California in 1997 had a great impact on how they view the world. The fact that they are now able to tie together their youth with their current world living in Los Angeles and never loose sight of their roots, is something they are extremely grateful for.

African Botanics Philosophy

Philosophy

Each product they compose is made from start to finish in South Africa, giving African Botanics a rich sensory experience, heart, soul and a unique story to share. Their intention was also to create a seamless blend of true luxury and nature that can perfectly accommodate the needs of any modern individual. Craig and Julia regularly visit South Africa throughout the year to see family and spend time with their producers. This experience affords them direct contact with the special contributors of African Botanics. One of the best things about their trips is meeting the harvesters, artisans and people they work with. Connecting with their people and sharing with them the success of African Botanics today is truly inspiring to them.

Incorporating molecular science, capturing antioxidants, omegas, intelligent nutrients and far beyond…

Utilizing the most advanced extraction and encapsulation methods allows us to create superior performing products that demonstrate powerful efficacy and rejuvenating results. Our selection of ultra-powerful actives starts with in-depth research and analysis by closely collaborating with university labs and research teams in South Africa, France, Austria and Switzerland. We then select highly effective phyto-actives and South African plant species for their heightened antioxidant concentration, moleclular structure, natural peptides and omega content. African Botanics products are highly active and extremely concentrated with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory omegas, cell-communicating peptides, intelligent collagen boosters, botanical stem cells, minerals, marine biotechnology and energizing vitamins compared to most skincare products on the market.

African Botanics Sustainable sourcing from remote locations that go beyond organic

Sustainable sourcing from remote locations that go beyond organic

Our ingredients come from every part of Southern Africa: the desert, the sea and the land. The majority are wild-harvested from very unique hot-spots that we call eco-zones. They grow in their natural, bio-dynamic environment free from farming, pollution, pesticides and human interference. We make sure that the plants we use are sustainable and are harvested with utmost respect to nature and future generations. Our unique botanicals, plant butters, seed oils and minerals originate from remote, untouched regions, near and far, all with special qualities creating new endless skincare possibilities and are carefully selected to make products that enhance your day and care holistically for your skin, body and mind. We constantly seek new combinations in order to develop the best benefits and sensory sensations that all our products bring.

Smart, effective, potent and clinically proven ingredients are selected for compatibility with the skin and sensorial richness. Every single active ingredient that we use has to meet these strict criteria. We source our raw ingredients directly from each supplier so we know and can trace everything that goes into the creation of our products. We regularly visit our suppliers from the highest altitude mountain estates and dry desert to the wild and hot African savannah.
