In the antiquated history of old-world Europe, the Kings were selected as children, growing up in the palace to become accommodated to their new responsibilities and powers. Because of their youth, these Kings would often incite new traditions, such as the one set forth by King Louis XIV when he decreed that all children should be given succulent oranges for Christmas. From that point on, oranges were dubbed ‘golden apples’ and they were sacred and eagerly anticipated by the children of the kingdom.
To celebrate this tradition of young kings, the L’Enfant Roi perfumed candle by Arty Fragrance combines the trademark fragrances of an ancient Christmas tale. When luminous, this voluminous perfumed candle emits aromas of frankincense, gold, and myrrh.
Accord Notes: Crystallized orange, myrrh, frankincense, cedar.
