The founder of UMA recalls a story from her family's past when her great aunt, a soon-to-be bride in rural India, experienced a severe skin breakout due to pre-wedding stress. Watching her daughter's plight, her mother, a passionate botanist well-versed in Ayurvedic teachings, crafted a potent mixture using clove and grape seed oils. This blend was not only successful in restoring her daughter's pristine skin before the wedding but also benefited her teenage son. From then on, it remained a closely guarded family secret—until the creation of UMA products.
The UMA Deeply Clarifying Face Oil is a delicate yet potent solution that harmonizes and hydrates while targeting blemishes and impurities. With the antiseptic properties of clove essential oil and the purifying benefits of tea tree oil, it's a powerhouse. The addition of lavender and clary sage oils ensures the skin stays hydrated without excess oiliness, making it a perfect match for those with oily or combination complexions.
The foundation of the Deeply Clarifying Face Oil is grape seed oil, abundant in fatty acids that address skin unevenness.
Twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening, after cleansing your face, dispense 3-4 drops of the oil onto your hands. Warm it by rubbing your palms together and then gently pat and massage in circular movements across your face, neck, and décolletage. For those who use a serum, this oil can be applied post-serum application. It's essential to recognize that acne often stems from an over-secretion of sebum, influenced by stress, anxiety, and environmental shifts. Usage Insight: Given the lavish nature of this oil, 2-3 drops are sufficient per use, making a 30ml bottle last you a good three months or more.
