Tips to Creating the Perfect Eyebrows

Foolproof Tips to Creating the Perfect Eyebrows

As they say, there is no one-size-fits-all technique for creating the perfect brows. But every effort will be worth it especially once you are rewarded with a  fresher and younger looking face.

So how do you start? Here’s a list to guide you in creating the perfect brows.

Step 1: Identify Your Starting Points

Flip your tweezer so that it will appear upside down. Place it in a vertical position while putting it alongside the outer edge of the bottom of your nose. Mark the point where the tip is as it should be where your brow should begin. Then using your eye pencil, put a vertical line to locate the start of each brow.

Step 3: Shape Your Brows

Using an eye pencil, draw a line at the bottom part of your brows, beginning at its fullest portion making sure that it is above any stray hairs and follows your natural arch. Shape your brows like you are drawing an upside-down check mark. Keep the peak of your arch on the exterior rim of your iris and right on your brow bone while tapering its ends.

Note: Pluck the stray hairs and make sure that the thickness of your brows is between a quarter inch and a half inch.

The Best Eyebrow Types for a Range of Face Shapes

1. Structured Brow with Angled Arches and Longer Ends for Round Face

This eyebrow type adds a bit of dimension and instant definition to the face, therefore, slimming it down and making it appear oval.

Preferred Eye Pencil: micro lining pencil

2. Well-Balanced and Contoured Brows for Oval Face

Known as the perfect face shape, the secret to getting the best brows is to ensure the appropriate thickness of your brow. This means that if you have a high forehead, large eyes, and lips, you should go for thicker brows. On the other hand, those with smaller facial features would look well slimmer arches.

3. Soft, Rounded Arch for Heart Shaped Face

To complement sharp angles, you should go for the type of brows that create fluidity and curves and you can achieve this by creating soft, rounded brows with a natural colour.

4. Brows with Angled Peak for Square Face

In order to create a softer and less boxy look for a square face shape, the secret is on the arch of the brows. Adding angle to the peak will create an illusion of having a longer and narrower face.

5. Shorter Brows for Oblong Face

For people with an oblong face, the effect that you’d want to achieve is a fuller effect that will plump up your face. You can achieve this by giving close attention to where your brow ends.

Preferred Eye Pencil: angled pencil

6. Linear Brow Shape for Diamond-Shaped Face

With Diamond-shaped faces, it is ideal to stay away from high arches as they can exaggerate face length. It is best to go for a flat brow shape to ensure flattering results.

With perfectly sculpted brows, whether you opt for a ‘no-makeup’ makeup look or if you prefer a smoky bronze halo eyeshadow that’s perfect for summer, you can be confident that you’ll look extra good!
